We are a non-profit organization, which means the funds and gifts we receive go directly to minister to those who attend our programs and rent our site. Keeping our facility and equipment maintained is part of this but sometimes we have larger projects need to be accomplished and we rely on additional support raising in order to complete them.
The purpose of this page is to provide you with information about ongoing/planned projects, estimated costs, as well as some various donation items we are looking for. You may have some of these items available to donate, or perhaps your church would like to contribute towards or take on one of our larger projects. Work Projects
Chapel Floor
Need:
Our chapel addition is one of the oldest renovations that was done to the original building. As you can see from the picture above the flooring has seen some major wear over the years and is in need of replacing. This one of our most used rooms including meetings, indoor games, crafts, dining, and more. We have inspected the support joists for the flooring and believe other than one support pillar no additional work should need to be done under the floor. This means we are looking to either replace or build on top of the existing floor with something that will look nice, be cleanable, and be wear resistant under lot’s of conditions.

Girls Dorm Foundation Blocks
Need: Some of the foundation block supports underneath the Girls Dorm have been steadily sinking over the last few years. it will be necessary to replace some of the foundation pillars with some new poured foundations and blocks. We would also like to install some eaves trough on the side of the building as we believe the lack of it has contributed to the erosion.
Projected Cost: $1000-$1500 (Volunteer Skilled Block Layer/Work Team)
Small Trailer (Able to be Pulled by a Minivan)
Need: With the price of garbage disposal in our County as well as a 2 week pickup schedule we would benefit from a small trailer that can be pulled behind a van in order to take some of the waste to the Durham Landfill (Where it can be disposed of by weight rather than bag tags). Our current van would need modifications to have a trailer hitch. (Or alternatively a separate work vehicle for the camp.)

Fireplace Brick Repair
Need: Bricks around the fireplace in the dining hall are in need of replacing. Potentially looking for a skilled volunteer able to do the work as well as some bricks.

Volunteer Work
Grass Cutting: Throughout the spring and fall we have some opportunities for volunteers to come cut grass on site
Deep Cleaning: Individuals or a work team who would be willing to so some more intense cleaning of some of the facility/washrooms. (A few taps, showers, tile, etc. that would benefit from some added attention and tougher chemicals)
